Gemma Greaves discusses trust and diversity with Tamara Littleton, Jess Myers and Emma Harris

Published on: 24th October, 2019
In this special podcast following a lunch event with partners The Social Element, Marketing Society Chief Executive Gemma Greaves leads a discussion with CEO and founder of the Social Element, Tamara Littleton, former Head of Brand Management at RBS, Jessica Myers and CMO of The Social Element, Emma Harris. They start by discussing the possibly of Tamara inventing social media then move onto more important topics including: How you do marketing that is genuinely diverse and the challenges marketing leaders have around trust. They discussed flexible ways of working, and remote working and how flexible working fosters an environment of collaboration. The conversation then moved to output and trust - how it's not about the hours you put in, but your output, and how trust empowers your team to be creative and entrepreneurial. If you create an environment where trust comes first, people will go the extra mile. And how if you show vulnerability as a leader, particularly with mental health, the more people will trust you. In terms of diversity of thought in business it's not only how you get diverse teams but how you keep them. They finished in the style of a tweet #vulnerabilityequalsinclusion #bringbestselftowork #rockstars #choiceineverythingyoudo #beyou #bebrave
